Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Shampoo + Conditioner | Review

Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Shampoo + Conditioner | Review by Brooke Brianna

I just tried a new shampoo + conditioner duo as part of Herbal Essences’ Bio:Renew collection. The good news? These are made with 90% naturally derived ingredients, pH balanced so it’s safe for coloured hair, 0% parabens (glutens, colorants or silicone) and it’s loaded with healthy antioxidants, aloe and sea kelp to help purify and protect your hair. The bad news? Well, there wasn’t really any but I love keeping people on their toes. *lists ability to keep people on their toes as professional skill on resume*

Rejuvenate Bourbon Manuka Honey Shampoo

I think I need to start off by saying these products smell amazing. The shampoo is definitely not like any shampoo I’m used to using. I think the honey factor plays a huge role in adding weight to this product. It didn’t lather very much, and went on sort of like a hair mask, rather than shampoo. It was definitely a different experience but overall left my hair feeling silky, smooth and squeaky clean.

Rejuvenate Bourbon Manuka Honey Conditioner

This isn’t normally a brand I’d go for when it comes to drug store hair products, but I can definitely say this line surprised me. My hair dried silky, shiny and overall smooth. The conditioner was definitely more runny than what I’d normally go for - that being said I’m a hair mask junkie and definitely prefer a mask over an everyday conditioner. Overall, I like the way it left my hair feeling and it was definitely easy to brush through.
