Below are a few of my favourite items to mix and match for the average gal's 9 to 5 schedule - because a cute work outfit makes all the difference:
BLAZER / JACKET
This is an important staple no matter what job you have. A professional blazer will come in handy for job interviews, networking events, meetings, and SO much more. Finding the right blazer can be tricky, because you don't want to look boxy or thrown-together. I personally love Zara's selection of blazers/jackets because they have a lot of high-fashion options you won't find elsewhere. For a more casual everyday blazer, Aritzia is my go-to choice.

SOPHISTICATED TANK
The tank is an easy piece that will be used time and time again under different blazers, leather jackets, cardigans and more. This tank is lightweight, stretchy and super comfortable for a 7-8 hour work day. It comes in a variety of colours including the staples (black, white, grey) and has an extra layer covering the chest so you'll never have to worry about different bras being see-through.

DRESS PANT / TROUSER
Not all work places will let you come in your comfortable jeans or jeggings, so it's important to have a collection of dress pants and trousers. You can find these in a wide variety of colours and patterns, but of course, every working professional should have a pair of black dress pants and black dress trousers.
POINTED-TOE SHOE
So heels aren't for everyone, especially for everyday attire. Some workplaces are more casual and don't require you to be at tip-top perfect everyday. Regardless, I think a pointed-toe is an important staple in your work attire. Whether you're wearing a casual leather jacket with pants, or a blouse-dress, the pointed-toe will spice up your outfit so you look professional at all times.
