ELLE CANADA ANNIVERSARY EVENT

March 22, 2016

A night full of laughs, apps and cocktails. The 15 anniversary event of one of Canada's most recognizable fashion magazines celebrates their outstanding success, and it looks like you're invited.

In a team, students were asked to execute an event proposal with the concept and client of their choosing. With a team of eight fashion-loving members, the group decided to plan the 15th anniversary event for ELLE Magazine's Canadian division at a stunning venue in Toronto, ON.

This was developed for MDST 3030: Event Planning.

WEDDING EVENT CRITIQUE

April 05, 2016

A glamourous day full of laughs, love and light. Take a look into the planning, aesthetic and timeline of one of the most beautiful weddings to date.

As an individual assignment, students were asked to attend and critique an event of their choosing. This critique takes a closer look at a wedding event held at Casa Loma Castle in Toronto, ON.

This was developed and executed for MDST 3030: Event Planning.

HOME DEVELOPMENT RELEASE EVENT

March 01, 2016

Learn to live luxuriously at Elizabeth Estates. Choose from a variety of our extravagant packages and bring all of your decor dreams to life.

Creating and planning an event from scratch, I chose to focus on the release of a new home development. Marshall Homes is a real and successful Durham-based corporation, however the entire concept for the release of Elizabeth Estates is fictional.

This was developed for MDST 3030: Event Planning.

Project Management

MODE DE VIE

In a team of five, students were asked to embody a fictional public relations firm, creating and implementing a new product and marketing campaign for the company of their choosing.

Our idea was to create a #MoreThanNails campaign for Sally Hansen in order to build excitement for their new take-home shellac remover product. We created Mode de Vie as a beauty and lifestyle oriented firm and designed an RFP to reach Coty Inc.

This was completed for MDST 3170: Writing for Public Relations II.

BENEFIT VEGAN SMOOTHIE BAR

In a team of nine to ten people, students were asked to create a new business venture and propose it to a lion's den (similar to the show "Dragon's Den.")  As a team of nine motivated individuals, we created an all vegan smoothie bar to sublease inside of Goodlife Fitness in the core of Downtown Toronto, ON.

This was completed for MDST 3100: Corporations and Agencies.
